Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of DoneBox, available at donebox.eu and getdonebox.com. Two related documents apply alongside these Terms and are incorporated by reference: our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle data about you as a DoneBox user, and our Data Processing Addendum (DPA), which sets out the terms under which DoneBox processes the personal data contained in mailboxes you connect.

1. Who we are

DoneBox is operated by Liisberg Consulting ApS, a company registered in Denmark.

2. What DoneBox does

DoneBox is an email triage and dispatch tool. It connects to email accounts, analyzes message threads, and helps users process emails faster by preparing summaries, suggested actions, replies, and tasks.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and may not allow unauthorized access.

4. Email account access

By connecting an email account, you authorize DoneBox to access email data necessary to provide the service. DoneBox performs user-approved actions on your mailbox, including archiving and deleting individual messages via IMAP. Sending replies is handled outside DoneBox in the current version; reply drafts are surfaced as suggestions for you to send through your normal email client.

For the data inside your connected mailbox, you act as the controller and DoneBox acts as your processor. The terms of that processor relationship — including subprocessors, security measures, data subject rights, breach notification, and return or deletion of data on termination — are set out in our Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Human approval of actions

DoneBox generates suggestions using AI. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving any action before it is executed, including replies, tasks, archive actions, or deletions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use DoneBox to:

• break applicable laws or regulations;
• access email accounts you are not authorized to use;
• send spam, phishing, malware, or deceptive communications;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the service;
• use the service in a way that harms others or infringes their rights.

7. AI-generated output

AI-generated summaries, classifications, replies, tasks, and recommendations may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. You should review output before relying on it. DoneBox does not guarantee that AI output is correct.

8. Third-party services

DoneBox integrates with email providers (via IMAP), AI providers, and task tools. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. The Things task integration opens a things:/// URL on your device to add a task to your local Things app; no DoneBox server transmits task content to Things' servers.

9. Fees and subscriptions

Paid plans, billing terms, trials, refunds, and cancellation rules will be shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

10. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of DoneBox at any time. We aim to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

11. Your data

You retain ownership of your email content and other data. You grant DoneBox the limited rights needed to process that data to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

12. Termination

You may stop using DoneBox at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create security risk, or misuse the service.

13. Disclaimer

DoneBox is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DoneBox and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, or loss of goodwill.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
